Power Tower Maintenance

As infrastructure exposed to harsh environments for extended periods, power tower maintenance requires a strong focus on material resistance to wear and environmental adaptability. Because iron is susceptible to corrosion and requires high load-bearing capacity, modern steel is often used (tensile strength ≥ 550 MPa). Its high strength, high load-bearing capacity, and excellent cold resistance (strength decay rate <10% at -40°C) significantly extend its service life to 20-30 years and reduce steel consumption by approximately 15%-20%. Routine maintenance requires regular inspections of weld corrosion (recommended quarterly), bolt tightness (torque values must be within ±5% of the design standard), and enhanced structural stress monitoring (using strain gauges with an accuracy of ±0.1% FS) to mitigate the risk of cold-induced fracture.
