Analysis of Power Tower Construction Specifications and Key Technical Points

I. Geological Survey and Foundation Construction Specifications

During the site selection phase, a comprehensive assessment of terrain slope, geotechnical parameters, and groundwater characteristics is required. Foundation bearing capacity verification should be conducted using techniques such as static penetration testing and geological radar. Foundation construction should comply with the requirements for concrete compressive strength and foundation burial depth in GB 50233-2014, "Code for Construction and Acceptance of 110kV-750kV Overhead Transmission Lines."

II. Key Points for Tower Assembly Precision Control

Before hoisting, components must undergo magnetic particle inspection. The fit tolerance of flange connection surfaces must not exceed 0.5mm. During assembly, a total station should be used to monitor verticality in real time to ensure that the tilt rate of straight towers is ≤0.3% and that of corner towers is ≤0.5%. High-strength bolts must be tightened in three stages, with the final torque tolerance controlled within ±3%.

III. Completion Acceptance and Periodic Inspections

Completion inspections include seven mandatory inspection items, including ultrasonic testing of welds and measurement of galvanized coating thickness. Deformation observations using a total station must be conducted every five years during operation. Tower foundations whose settlement exceeds 10% of the design value must be reinforced.

IV. Construction Requirements for Special Environments

In permafrost areas, thermal rod technology should be used to maintain foundation stability. In coastal areas, chloride-resistant GRC composite materials should be used. For construction in seismic zones, seismic energy dissipation devices should be installed in accordance with GB 50545-2010.

Power tower construction must strictly adhere to 18 industry standards, including Q/GDW 11536-2016. Construction companies must hold a Level 2 or higher license for the installation, repair, and testing of power facilities. All technical files must be retained for five years after the tower's design service life.
